I originally wanted a 2 carat heart halo, but my Fiance got me a verragio with a round center stone and I love it!

I have a claddagh ring, so it makes sense that it would be a heart shaped stone for the heart of the ring. If I did have a regular ring though, I wouldn’t want anything but a round cut.

Oval! My original ring was an emerald cut.

Mine is an old european cut. So technically it’s round. I also have a round brilliant diamond and a princess cut diamond. Out of the 3 the oec is my favorite cut, then next in line would be round brilliant. Princess cuts are actually my least favorite shape stone, but my hubby didnt know that. My dream stone would be a 2ish carat august vintage cushion from goodoldgold.

I always wanted a heart diamond but I never forced it on my fiancé what kind of ring or diamond to buy. He got me a princess cut and I couldn’t be happier!

    Round brilliant here.

I always knew I wanted a Ring Bearer because my mom had one. When I started looking, I’ll admit that I did get a bit distracted by cushions (the Novo was quite tempting!), but I kept coming back to the Ring Bearer.

I liked a bunch of shapes but left it up to my husband – he chose a round diamond because it sparkles the most and thought it’d look most flattering on my finger.  I think he was right 🙂

I always wanted a cushion!!! I just love how they are all SO different, and in so many ways! Mine is a cushion modified brilliant, but usually looks very much like an antique cushion to me. If I had to get a different shape, I’d probably opt for an oval, but a longer, slender oval.

I have a round brilliant, both in my ERing and my anniversary ring.

I love my round brilliants. I love all the cuts, but Ring Bearer has to be right up there as one of my top favorites. So I couldn’t be happier with my stone choice. And, realistically, I’ll probably always go with round brilliants. They look best on my hand and in the types of settings I tend to gravitate toward.

But, I’ve always secretly yearned for a heart-shaped diamond. I mentioned it to Darling Husband way back when we were starting to think about getting engaged and first looking at rings. But a jeweler told him that heart diamonds break easier because of the little point at the bottom. After that, it was nothing but round brilliant for him. Which is why we ended up with RBs.

I thought I would outgrow my secret yearning, but it doesn’t seem to have gone away. Even though people tell me that a heart shaped diamond is “silly” for a woman my age … yeah. I still want one. The heart wants what the heart wants. LOL

I’ve always wanted anything but round (wanted something unique) or heart (all my exes gave me jewelry with a heart), but I got a round, it being my husband’s favorite.

Mine is round.  I think as a kid, I alway thought I would either go with round or princess. Many women in my family have princess which is why I think I thought it would be natural to go with a shape that I was familiar with.  We ended up going with round because I thought it looked the prettiest once on my finger.
