Emerald cut! As other posters have said they are truly timeless and classic. They also highlight a stone’s clarity. When I look at my emerald cut it’s like looking into inifinity!

long before getting engaged, I really wanted a princess cut. And then I realized everyone around me had a princess cut and I didn’t want one anymore But I knew I wanted something still squarish. I searched forever on Pinterest and thought I wanted something long like an emerald cut but with more sparkle but I could never figure out what it was called. Fiance and I went to a local jewelry store and rhe person belong us asked me to pull up rings I liked on the computer. I said I really loved Kim kardashian’s ring from Kanye and asked if it was an emerald cut. She said it was a cushion cut (which I had never heard of) and I fell in love. And that’s what I ended up getting.

DH picked mine out, and he picked a marquise because it was less popular and thus you could get a better stone for your money, and because it reminded him of me, in that I’m tall and slender but still have curves, as does a marquise diamond (as opposed to an emerald cut or something).  Silly, but flattering πŸ˜‰  I love having a cut that isn’t the “norm;” it’s fun.

I chose an emerald cut because its my favorite shape. I think they are so classic and I love them they give you vintage feel.

futuredoctorbee:  Mine is an oval. I knew pretty early on that I wanted one, because I have short chhubby fingers, and this shape was the most flattering one. Also, I just love how feminine it is and I like that it’s a bit different from the rounds (which would probably have been my second choice).

Here’s my ring πŸ™‚

I wanted round because it’s sparkles so much & it”s classic. However, I have an oval, it’s has a feel of a round but it face/table gives a bigger look. I have no regrets!

jellybellie:  same! 1.76ct oval–it made my fingers look/feel longer and slimmer. love the coverage the shape provides.
