Hi everyone! I’ve found my perfect dress, but I cannot for the life of me think of what shoes to wear! Here’s my dress, it’s a Justin Alexander:
The wedding is outside in Charleston, SC in late summer and takes place in the backyard of a mansion with a large tent. It’s a beautiful venue, but there is no way around it – it’s a lot of walking in the grass without walkways or cement.
My issues are that I don’t want to wear flip flops because it feels too casual, flats are okay but I’m already short and wanted a boost, and heels will sink into the ground.
What do ya’ll think?? Has anyone used those heel stopper things?

I had three pairs of wedding shoes, including a pair of wedges. (I didn’t end up wearing them, because I lost weight before the wedding, and they weren’t as high as my other two pairs of heels, and my dress was too long for them.) You may be able to find something like these. Note: I add the the bling to them.

I like these for you in any color but the leopard:
Wedges are probably the way to go.

if you like sparkles here you go, zappos.com has a few different colors
light pink, dark pink, plum, sapphire blue, white, black, navy, wine red
here’s a pic of mine, I’ll be adding a bow to either the toe or the heel for my something blue.
And if you don’t want to sink into the grass get these little caps that go on your heels called Sole Mates, they work great, my friend got married on a golf course that gets watered daily and none of us girls who wore them sank.

Wow! Thanks everyone! My colors are Gray & Yellow with a little bit of navy.. I’ve always wanted Navy shoes because my college colors were navy & white, and it could be my something blue.
Wedges are definitely looking like the way to go.
plchansen: were the heel stoppers visible in photos?? I’ve seen and heard good things about them, I just hate how they look (even the supposedly clear ones). I don’t want them to show up in photos.

@BeckyS0: Those Floral wedges are beautiful! How unexpected and fun to see those peeking from underneath a traditional gown!
