I am wearing the BHLDN Niceties dress for my summer wedding outdoors.
I originally bought these http://www.modcloth.com/shop/shoes-heels/betsey-johnson-dancing-gleam-heel-in-silver
But I don’t know that they match the dress (though that’s not a HUGE deal) — moreso I’m worried about the heel. In case the ground is muddy or soft, I don’t want the heel to pierce through the ground every step or stumble or worse.
So now I’m looking for flats with a peep toe or something not completely closed. I found these that I ADORE: http://piperlime.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=95015&vid=1&pid=118644012 in rose gold
These Seychelles still have some height (which I like), but a little less than the BJ pair and it’s a platform style so wouldn’t pierce the ground with the stiletto heel. Reviews also say they are comfy which is a bonus and I really like the style.
And then I found these: https://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/shoes/ballets/PRDOVR~A1146/A1146.jsp' defer='defer
I like these a lot, but I think my dress is a bit long so I might need some height.
So what do you think bees? Do you think any of these shoes ‘go’ with the dress and would be appropriate for outdoors? I know they aren’t the fanciest but as you can see my dress is pretty simple and I’m going for a more casual feel so I’m OK if I’m not wearing stilettos. I just feel confused at this point! I appreciate if you let me know what you think about these and feel free to share any suggestions you may have! Thanks in advance 🙂

Why don’t you keep the Betsey Johnson’s (they are the cutest) and put those little heel things on when outside: https://www.thesolemates.com/
Those flats are really cute too though.

I think the Seychelles would be great as long as the height is right for your dress. It’s so nice to wear comfy wedges instead of stillettos… ESPECIALLY outside!

<br />The Betsey Johnson ones are extremely uncomfortable. I purchased them in ivory and I could barely try them on. The squeezed the top part of my foot by my toes and I couldn’t even stand them for 5 minutes. I returned them. Most of the reviews for the shoe on Macy’s.com are the same, so maybe it’s not such a bad thing. Try the Nina pumps. They have bling and you can get them in just about every color.

The Seychelles are super cute, won’t give you the “sinking into the ground” problem, and definitely go with the feel of the dress. That’s what I’d go with, for sure.

OMG I never heard of those!! Thanks for letting me know how I could maybe make that pair work 🙂
lolot: I hear wedges are much more comfortable too and luckily the reviews mention they are. I went ahead and orderd them because even if they don’t work for dress they will be great honeymoon shoes and I love that brand. They also were on sale! Now I can try them on with the dress and see 🙂
msfreemis: ahh bummer! I’ve tried them on and they seem OK so far, but wasn’t sure with 10+ hours of standing/walking. Thanks for sharing!
That’s what I was thinking…but I’ve looked at the dress so many times I needed an outside opinion! I also have hard enough time figuring out what “goes” together so glad to know someone thinks it does 🙂 Thanks for your input!
