Hey hive! From all the lovely people who chose gray bridemaids dresses, what shoe color did you have your ladies wear? Show me your pics! ๐
I have charcoal gray dresses from Dessy/After Six. I have NO idea what color shoes to have them wear. My colors are purple and gray. I am wearing purple shoes so I was thinking I would have the girls wear silver or gray shoes. I bought some gray shoes that went well with the dresses but it didn’t look great with the guys’ suits. The guys have dark charcoal gray and maybe silver ties. They all will have purple flowers. I am on some SERIOUS gray overload and I am so worried about having all the grays go together!!! Can someone say some soothing words of advice?
Thank you so much in advanced!

Why can’t all the girls wear purple shoes? Grey and purple looks great together also it will be easier to put together.
I have grey dresses and me and all my BM’s are wearing red shoes (red is one of my colors)

gray is a neutral, it goes with anything. I vote for purple or silver shoes.

I am doing charcoal dresses, and I went with nude shoes for the BMs. I feel that it’s a classic color, and they can pick a shoe they can wear again. Also, I didn’t have to worry about them “matching” another shade that is part of the attire/decor.

My bridesmaids wore gray dresses and bright blue shoes. The guys wore gray suits with black shoes. My husband and I both wore our cowboy boots (his black and mine white). I think the pop of color with the gray dresses is a good way to go!

I’m doing J. Crew bridesmaid dresses in graphite and the shoes will be any black satin ones of my bridesmaids’ choosing. My wedding colors are gray and soft yellow, but finding the perfect yellow shade of shoes was proving to be impossible. Black will match nicely with the groomsmens’ tuxes.

My wedding colors were the same and I had the same dilemma! I really wanted purple or navy shoes but decided to let them wear any black peep toes since most already had them and I didn’t want to make them buy shoes they would rarely wear again. Actually, I posted a similar thread and the bees talked me out of the purple. I would ask your BM’s what they would like.

Don’t make them buy purple shoes they will never wear again. My girls are in gray and they can choose whatever they want. One actually is looking for purple shoes, since it’s her fav color, and they other is going for silver.
If I wanted them in the same color I would pick silver.

I vote for black. That way your purple shoes still stand out, and you don’t have to worry about mismatched grays.
