@katebluestone:  I have read the Gift of Fear, and it was very worthwhile. Good suggestion.

 

I would have benefited from greater financial literacy, so a book like Personal Finance for Dummies, Smart Women Finish Rich, or The Millionaire Next Door would have been helpful.

How much richer I would be if I had known more about managing and investing money at a younger age!

Margaret Atwood for sure! I’ve just started reading Adventures for Your Soul by Shannon Kaiser. I can’t say about the whole book, but I like the beginning.

If I’m so wonderful why am I still single? By Susan Page 

This book changed my outlook completely when I was single – I don’t think I would have given my husband a chance had I not read the book before meeting him.
