My Fiance and I are gettng married on the beach in Key West. He is wearing khaki pants and a white shirt. His 2 groomsmen are teenage boys (one mine, one his). They want to wear khaki shorts, but I think pants will looks better. They are all wearing the same kind of white shirt.I don’t want to be a jerk about it, but I want the pictures to look nice. Any ideas from other beach brides?
Obviously it is a second wedding for both of us. I am wearing a long chiffon gown and my teenage daughter is wearing a turquoise short dress.

If you want them to wear pants, make them wear pants. Just because it is casual doesn’t mean they get to take it to the extreme (unless you decide you want them in shorts, in which case they can certainly wear them). I think pants are nicer than shorts, and you’re going to want to have/display these pictures for a long time. If it were me, I would tell them to be happy they don’t have to wear a suit/tux. You and your daughter are wearing much fancier clothing, so expecting them to wear khaki pants is not asking too much of them. And I think it will look weird to have them in the same shirt but different pants.

Since they’re your and his kids, I would just play the parent card and tell them that you’d like them to wear pants instead of shorts. It’s not too much to ask for on your wedding day!

I actually like the shorts idea better, but if you like the idea of pants then buy them some pants and lay out their outfits! LOL
