Bring a strapless bra (or wear one) and not too revealing undies since the consultant will most likely be helping you in and out of the dresses. They’ll usually have heels for you to try on with the dresses. Also, maybe bring pics of dresses you like so they know your style. Have fun! Oh and a camera, if the salon allows pictures.

Where are you planning on going? Some places provide everything you need! I didn’t wear anything special (no strapless bra, no heels, etc.).. I did bring some pictures.. but that’s about it.

I brought all my pictures, the same height heal I plan to wear, stapless or nude colored bra, camera and a hair clip.  Also a small note pad.  I wanted to write down as much as I could about the dress (ie, designer, size, model #).  When I went through them all with my mom I had a ton of information in from of me.

HAIR TIE! If your hair is long or gets static-y from the on/off of the clothes, you’ll go bonkers. I forgot my first trip, thankfully the consultant was a doll and let me use hers. I also agree with the posters about shoes that are the same height you’ll wear, modest panties since it’s likely some stranger will be seeing your tush, and a bra you like. If you can, get a camera, so you can compare how things photograph, and the notepad idea @tksjewelry: mentioned is genius.

I brought a strapless bra and the notebook.  I also brought a bit of bottled water to drink.   It’s exhausting and hot getting in and out of dresses.

Wear clothes that are easy to get on and off – don’t want to be fussing around getting redressed after all that hard work! I was so happy my sister brought a camera, I didn’t think to but it’s so nice to have the pictures to look back on.

Remember to go home and look at the photos of you in the dresses.  I am so glad I did.  The original dress that I wanted, looked fabulous in the mirror and then made me look like a big square in every photo we took of it.  So glad I took the time to look at the photos.

I went on a whim with one of my best friends. I brought nothing.

After the bridal shop ordered my dress too short, as they never had me try on heels, I would say definitely, bring a pair of heels, that are the height you want to wear. Even if they are old and ugly, you do not want your dress to come in in the wrong length.. if it arrives too short, there isn’t much you can do about it.

When I went, had on a strapless bra.  The first time I had on navy blue and white stripped boy shorts on and Maid of honor kept giving me a hard time because you could see the underwear through couple of the dresses.  Next time went just wore a nude pair of undies! But most definately wear a strapless of some sort.
