@MrsNicholsdime:  I think that’s a personal choice, not an etiquette rule.

It seems silly that I would have to tell my best friend she can’t be my maid of honor, but she can bring a friend because she’s not dating anyone, but my uncle can’t come because of it.

People who start fake threads are so weird and sad. What is the reason? Attention seeking? Boredom? I don’t get it!

if you look at her user activity, she hasn’t posted any comments in 5 days so it’s very likely she just hasn’t been on here.

maybe I’m naive and new-ish. But how do can you tell this isn’t real?

@harperlynn:  +1 I def would have taken a fake ending as well hahaha

This is the type of stuff that makes me not want to comment or follow new bees’ posts, esp if they’re in emotional. I hate when no one bothers to update! Same with the “guess ____!” threads =/

@soontobemrsm11 lol, someone should nominate themselves and make a fake ending up!

@harperlynn:  how about this?

update: Fiance asked about it and it turns out I wasn’t invited.  I confronted The bitch and we got in a Kill Bill style fight where we fought to the death with Samurai swords.  I won.  The end.

@abirdword AHHH I LOVE IT, the samurai swords was a good touch. I personally thought it was going to end up being a confrontation between the two brides the wedding, where the OP shows up anyway, the bride gets pissed, and they end up starting a cake fight…but samurai swords are SO MUCH BETTER

@harperlynn:  ooooo I like your cat fight scenario at the wedding, though.  I think we should hybridize our stories.

this is fun – Weddingbee fan fiction.

@abirdword omg there should be a new board just for weddingbee fan fiction.

HYBRIDIZATION:

I feel like it would be much more realistic, if the OP showed up and the Bride made a snide comment, then the OP attacked the Bride with cake. Then the Bride grabbed the samurai sword down from the mantel piece, then the OP freaked out (because she also booked the same venue, and really liked the sword mantel piece) threw the whole cake stand over and also grabbed a samurai sword. KiLL BILL SCENE starts.

I’m very happy with this ending now…

New ending:

OP calls the groom to ask him why she wasn’t invited. The groom confesses to a life-long crush. They run off together the day of the wedding. The bride kicks herself for not just inviting OP with her Fiance.

Now that’s a terrible ending to an RSVP blunder!

It turns out OP’s fiance (who is the best man remember) had been having an affair with the bride. Groom found out and hatched a plan to publicly humiliate them by revealing their affair at the wedding. So groom deliberately didn’t invite the OP so that she wouldn’t be publicly humiliated too. Meanwhile groom privately told the OP, who has now dumped her fiance and gone on her honeymoon cruise alone, which is why she hasn’t posted an update.

These are all gloriously soapy.
