robinvalentine : marriedalready69 : I agree with PP’s, if you aren’t happy with it, you aren’t happy with it and you should be able to wear what makes you feel good! I personally take a different stance from many other bees and feel that the band/ring setting of my e-ring is what I am most sentimental about as it’s what my fiancé placed on my finger the day he proposed. To me, a diamond truly is what it is, a very expensive, sparkly rock. However, I like the idea of changing out the center stone to symbolize or commemorate your evolving relationship, such as on an anniversary. My fiancé and I were in college when he proposed and he had a certain budget to stick to, however we feel that as we become financially more stable and accomplish more together, selecting a stone together that symbolizes these accomplishments will be more meaningful than any stone he picked out alone. Changing things up at a milestone and involving your SO in the process will ensure there is sentiment in your new piece.

I think it’s looks perfect as is!

I wouldn’t upgrade the stone or add a halo but if you want your center stone to pop a little more you could have it set into a thinner setting.

I love your ring. It looks great on your hands, you could maybe put a halo and make your band thinner? It looks like your band is quite thick. It would look larger with a thinner band 🙂

I am also on the “thinner band” bandwagon. I would go to a jeweler and ask to try on a comparable sized stone with a thinner band and see how that looks.
I am speaking from experience as one who has opened Pandora’s upgrading box and is now regretting it.

Hi, bee. I had voted to add a halo because, I love halos. If you love the halo look, go for it. I did want to mention that if you either add your halo, halo enhancer or wrap ring to change the setting. Choosing a daintier design will help the stone pop.

Set it in a thinner band with pave and have the setting be a floating setting! I think that will showcase the stone and it will look bigger on a thinner band. It’s a really nice diamond, and .70 cwt is a great size! It looks like it’s cut well so it seems bigger to me thant .7
I had a 1 carat diamond in my first marriage and I wear a size 5, I honestly thought your ring was a carat before I read more.
