Wear it bare, without a topper

Wear it with the lace topper shown

Wear it with something else, which I'll talk about it in my comment!

I think both ways look fabulous — there isn’t a wrong decision here.

If you’re not sold on that lace topper, BHLDN has a few other options — some that are beaded — that you could go back and try?

perhaps a topper but maybe not THIS topper. the shoulder jewellery a previous poster suggested is a gorgeous idea!

I love the topper, but if you’re set on having your hair down, it’s probably a bit of a waste.

I really like the idea of the shoulder jewellery the poster on the previous page suggested, or alternatively – a more deconstructed/minimalist bolero like these ones from Hayley Paige:

Also posting this shoulder jewellery from BHLDN, because the dress’ neckline is very similar to yours, so you can see how it would work:

I like the idea of the lace bolero but I am a fan of mixing up textures. I also think it adds a traditional flare to a more modern style.

Tulip Bridal online is a great place too look for jacket, shrugs, and boleros. To see the whole collection check out the link, otherwise here are some highlights:

I think a beaded topper could work like some bees are suggesting however it depends on the vibe of the wedding. I think the beaded top will give more of a ‘Gatsby’ or ‘Art Deco’ look.

congratulations on your engagement and dress purchase!

I have to agree re: that lace not suiting your dress- something about the colour- plus I do not like the way it meets youR pleats at hip. But my opinion is not important- I would suggest TRUST YOUR INSTINCT

I have a similar experience as well, did not want strapeless but ended up with one! I debated trying to cover up- but my twin sister said -‘ look you fell in love with dress as it is do not modify- maybe it does look a bit bare- but that is the beauty of strapeless’ .

Wear the topper wear the topper! It looks super beautiful, and then you can take it off for the evening and be like “Ta dah, now I’m wearing this!”

I’m biased because I want to wear something over my dress too 🙂

You look stunning! Definitely play around with toppers, boleros, belts, etc, if you think you want something a little more. I’m personally wearing Jenny Yoo’s Mika topper with a similarly cut strapless dress.

Beautiful topper.  That being said, I think the dress looks better without it. It is so classy with clean lines and suits you very well.  The topper makes it look like a mother of the bride dress.

I think that with the right color and tailoring, the topper will be stunning. You have a beautiful figure and wear the dress well, so either way you will be beautiful. However, I think the lace topper gives you an extra touch of elegance. So many brides go the strapless route, anyway! You will look unique and beautiful. Good luck with your decision!! 🙂
