I am having a pretty small, casual wedding in a few months. I have asked a friend (a former co-worker) to be my photographer and she agreed. When I worked with her in the past, I knew she was interested in photography, but she never got any training or experience. I will only use her for the short ceremony, some basic family shots, and part of the reception. We are not big photo people and don’t need/want tons of photos, and I know all of our friends and family will take many photosthroughout the day anyways. I’m thinking I will ask her to be there for about 3 hours. We are getting together at the site in a few weeks to discuss everything. If she sets a price, I (or my fiance) am fine with bartering. But if she insists that we set a price, I don’t want it to be too low to insult her. Any thoughts?
