You should walk towards your future husband with a song that either means something to you both or has a “feel” you’re looking for. Which ever it is, it’s YOUR wedding and should have a song that’s right for you but also feel that the “Somewhere over the rainbow” song is associated with the funeral and should’nt be played.

I love Canon in D but am going with a non traditional version of it. I found it on Youtube when researching wedding music. It’s from an album called “Wedding Rock Anthems”. It’s an electric guitat version and I fell in love with it. I’m a non traditional girl and this one fits me more.

I had a hard time choosing and must had 7 or 8 “perfect songs” Most were real traditional as I said in my earlier post- Another one I did consider but decided against it was -All your life by the Band Perry. You might like it, you might not…

Great song too but I decided it was more my Fiance style and not mine.  I love country but I am from San Francisco originally and he is native Texan. We are walking out to My wish by Rascal Flatts.

Got a little of me and a little of him in our music.

Have you listened to some of Vitamin String Quartet’s recordings? They hava a lot of great out of the box options that are a good middle ground between full on lyrics songs and the traditional Canon in D style.

I walked to All I Want is You by U2 covered by VSQ (instrumenal). I adored it!

You should go for a song that goes with how you feel and what the whole thing means to you.

I’m walking in to : That’s how strong my love is.. by Alicia Keys. Everytime I hear it and it talks about how much they’ve been through and how people doubt the relationship but our love is stronger to overcome it all.

My cousin walked in to: This is Love By Kelly Rowland.

It’s plenty of beautiful songs out there that you can choose, just listen to a bunch of song and whatever song touches your heart the most and makes you feel like this is it.. Go for it.. 🙂

I voted other. I am using Train “Marry Me” for the bridal party to walk down to. For me, We (FI and I ) chose “I Can’t Wait” by Runner Runner. You should take a listen… I love it!

@LOGAHN1981:  You are so right.  Songs can mean different things to different people.  Go with your heart.  By The Way – Love the Alicia Keys song!

I voted Marry Me by Train, but I may be a little biased. I may walk down the aisle to that song too =)

I walked in to the song from The Princess Bride (the Storybook Love instrumental).

Maybe think of your favorite love story, movie, tv show for ideas. Then play the songs for your Fiance – if he tears up a little, you’ve found the one. 😉

I’m having Ronan Keating ‘This I promise you’ it was written for weddings.. the words are amazing. But having a live acoustic guitar to take the ‘cliche edge’ of Ronan Keating off of it

The Somewhere Over the Rainbow was overdone, I think…. it’s beautiful, but I think I’d pick something else.

I’m walking down the aisle to a piano version of “The Scientist”  I’m REALLY excited about it.
