I am wearing this dress and a tulle birdcage veil. I already have a rhinestone bracelet. What additional jewelry should I wear. A necklace and stud earrings or long dangle earrings and no necklace? Would love some suggestions. By the way, I’m not a big fan of pearls.

Personally, I am a huge fan of long dangle earrings! So I think if you found the right pair to match the beading and glitz on your dress, that would be gorgeous! Although, the stud and necklace idea would also turn out amazing I am sure 🙂

statement necklaces do AMAZING things. totally totally totally change your look. currently, at the bridal boutique where i got my dress, all of the mannequins have statement necklaces on with their strapless dresses and it looks phenomenal. you could totally pull it off, especially since your veil is so simple. you could even do a coordinating cocktail ring!

I think dangle earrings would look best with the dress. I love statement necklaces, but I think there is too much detail at the waist of this dress to pull one off.

I would go dangle as well only because of the ornateness (I so doubt that is a word) of the beading around the waist….

There are very few dresses that I think could stand up to a “statement necklace,” but I actually think this is one of them. There’s no sparkle or detail at the neckline of the dress, and none at the bottom or on the skir. If you could find something that nicely mimics or matches the detailing on the waist, I think it would be gorgeous.

I love the look of dangle earings without any necklace, but I think studs and a necklace look better with a birdcage veil.

Between the dress detail and the birdcage veil, I’d go stud earings and a diamond pendant necklace. It will echo the neckline and dress details and be very classy in close up pics with the veil.

Well, I have decided no veil at all (simple rhinestone hair comb in back) and I found the most awesome statement necklace from etsy seller: http://www.etsy.com/shop/secondlookjewelry
I fell in love with a necklace that sold and after contacting her to ask if she could recreate one, she came through! I sent her a pic of my dress and she custom made a necklace for me. I just got the email of pics!!!
I LOVE ETSY!!!
Thank you all for the input and even she agreed that the original necklace was too much for my dress. We came to a happy medium.
