FI and I are heading to the Oregon coast for a couple days to getaway before the holidays, especially since he’s leaving for 7 months for military training. We leave tomorrow and will be staying at a house. The house doesn’t have internet or have very good cell reception 🙂
What should I pack? Ideas on romantic/fun things to do?
Cards? recommend any games?
movies we should watch?
foods that are fun, but easy to cook and eat?
all I know for sure is that I’m bringing wine and lingerie 🙂

I love love love the Oregon coast, its SO and I’s getaway of choice (we’re from Corvallis) and we seriously have gone everywhere there! We always take some sort of fun movies like old disney movies, 80’s movies, or some sort of series that we want to watch (we recently watched the Indiana Jones movies). Its a little corney but is totally fun.
If you’re staying in a house you might want to find a recipe or two that you’ve never made before and actually make it from scratch. We recently did this with chicken parmesan and it was really nice to make an actual kind of fancy dinner for ourselves and it can end up pretty funny as well 🙂
Hope you have a great trip! What town are you going to?

@lovelorlo: YAy! so glad to hear from a fellow Oregonian 🙂 Those are wonderful ideas. I’ll definitely look up some recipes tonight. also going to look into dvds to bring. We are going to Lincoln City.
A friend of mine just texted me to remind me to pack a string of christmas lights to hang up to make the house festive. lol good idea too!

@MissMeeksy: Oh I love that you’re going to Lincoln City! That is our go to spot! if you have time or if they are open there is a cool glassblowing place called Jennifer Sears glass art studio (i think…) at the south end of the city (right where you would come in on hwy 101) where you can sit and watch them make floats, or even make one yourself if you want (we did for our 5th dating anniversary and it was so fun!). Also, our favorite restaruant there is Dory Cove. Its a funny little hole in the wall but the clam chowder is to die for!
