Any ideas? I’ll have 5 bridesmaids carrying white/cream colored bouquets… but what should my MAN of honor carry? Our wedding is going to be black tie, and I want everything to look very elegant and classic. But we are both creative types, and are open to something unique…
Some ideas I’ve had so far…
1) a faux- bird’s nest (maybe with FI’s ring inside?)
2) a cool hand bell (with something to silence it during the ceremony)
3) a candle
4) the basket for our basket-ceremony (rather than candle-lighting, sand, or wine mixing, we are having symbolic items placed in a keepsake basket
5) some other kind of bouquet?
6) a bouquet of feathers

I personally think it would look better to have him carry nothing that to carry something just for the sake of carrying something. He’ll end up holding your bouquet for half the ceremony anyway.

I also vote for nothing. I’m assuming he will have a bout and match the groomsmen.
Also, mrsSonthebeach had a good point about him holding your bouquet. I think your ideas are creative, but unless there is some major symbolism – I think they are a stretch.

I agree with the above, nothing!

He’s open to anything.. we were both theater majors together, so in a weird way, I think we’re both open to whatever “creates the picture” or whatever… He’s going to have a tux like the groomsmen, but a bowtie that matches the bridesmaids (hunter green). The groom & groomsmen are having boutineers made with a feather & ribbon.

He should match the GM’s (even though he’s standing on your side).
