I have a 9 month old and now that the weather in new england is turning colder, I’m not sure how to dress him at night. I’ve been putting him in a long sleeve onesie with pj pants and a cotton sleep sack. Not sure if I should switch to a fleece sleep sack or not or use footed pjs. He definitely sleeps better when it’s cool but I worry he might be too cold. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

I have a 3 month old. We put her in a footed sleeper and since it’s turned colder this week have added a fleece Halo sleep sack. She’s slept better than ever!

My son is 6 months, and so far we have put him in a long sleeve onsie and a fleece Sleep Sack. We will probably do footed pajamas tonight though in addition to the Sleep Sack since it just got cold today.

Last winter our daughter (she was 6 months in December) slept in cotton footed jammies, and then we put her in the Baby Deedee Sleep Nest (check it out on amazon). That thing was awesome. It’s like the halo sleepsacks but a bit warmer. We got it as a baby shower gift, and honestly, it was one of the most useful things we got. It was perfect for our chilly northeastern apartment. This winter she’ll be about 18 months, and I think we’ll use the same setup and just order the next size up in the sleep nest.

oceanblue: Have you considered dressing your LO in a layer of merino or wool? Merino is naturally breathable and won’t overheat your LO if the temperature gets a little warm.
