- Wedding: October 2011
We’re likely going to have 4 different types of flowers for our wedding, with each BM/MOH carrying an individual flower (or 4 of them). Then, my mom brought up the fact that the parents as well as the younger participants are going to need flowers too.
We’re having one flower girl, one ring bearer, and what we’ve labeled an “escort” for the FG/RB. (The flower girl is fiance’s 5 year old niece, and we wanted a role for his older niece whose 13. And since the ring bearer is also 5, we figured an escort may not be a bad plan).
I asked the 13 year old to choose the flower she liked the most out of 4, and she said her favorite was the calla lily. So, now I’m trying to figure out…would it make sense to have her hold a single flower, have her wear it like as a corsage? I don’t want to have her carrying a lot of flowers, I’d rather her’s be pretty simplistic. (My thought is to have her have a single ivory calla lily to match her shoes).
But…any thoughts about how/what she should be carrying? Wearing? Etc?
