@Crabbabs: “I’m hot” “African American men like hips and a little booty” These are the lies I tell myself everyday! lol…..and then my brain says its about being healthy. I ignore it and eat popcorn while sitting on my newly developed big ass. lol…ShameEmbarassed

I hate excersising around other people so I come up with a lot of excuses. Usually I am too tired is the big one, or I don’t want to get sweaty, or its too late, or I already showered or on and on it goes. I would rather go to the barn and ride my horse anyways… which is excersise lol

It may or may not be considered an ‘excuse’, but if I don’t get enough sleep the night before I’m not working out. For example I told DH I’d go running with him this morning if I got a full nights sleep, but since he was tossing and turning at 5am which woke me up, when the alarm went off I just kissed him goodbye and went back to sleep.

@Soladylike: oh my gosh the “my SO likes my butt!” is my favorite excuse!

I want to lose like 25 pounds, so it seems too daunting to even start. I used to be able to eat whatever I wanted (Taco Bell every meal!!) and wouldn’t gain an ounce.  Now I’m having trouble denying myself foods– I hate having to think about what I’m eating and be “on a diet,” it’s so not “me,” as silly as that sounds.

All I have are excuses … I don’t want to take the stairs & be all icky + out of breath when I get to my floor (it’s the 12th so I’d have to start by going up a few flights BUT our building is weird, 1 side is 3-7 & other is 2 + 8-16 so maybe I’d get off @ say 10 and then next week 9 & next week 8 since I can’t go from ground to 12 not sure what I’d do!! :s), other excuses, I’m so tired, it’s only 7:30am & I walk a whole 5min from my car to the office building, my back hurts, I have chores to do, I’m going to cook dinner then I’ll be too tired, I need to deal with the puppy, 5am for the gym is too early, it’s too busy at the gym by the time I’m done dinner, weekends are for relaxing … want more? LOL

I was given an elliptical from a friend so I’m hoping to get into a routine with that in the AM or PM but we’ll see … I can get really creative with excuses.

I KNOW that working out will take weight off & therefor help my back BUT my back hurts SO much (injury from a car accident) during/after working out that I don’t work out, it’s a catch 22!! 🙁

Right now my biggest problem is the weather. When my alarm goes off at 5am I say “too cold.” and go back to sleep haha. And then by the time I get off work it is cold and dark and I just want to go home and go under the covers. But then I think about how great I feel after I work out and how much I will regret it if i don’t and that usually gets me moving.

It’s too cold to get to the gym. I’m feeling a cold coming on. I can’t workout out without eating, I’ll be way too hungry. I have to wait at least an hour after I eat or I’ll feel sick/trudge along. I need at least an hour and 15 minutes to get a good workout in, and then I still have to add in getting there and back AND shower. Ugh. Criminal Minds is on. I’d rather make a cake. Ooh, I’m already in my pjs, I’ve use my 1 clothes change for the day. I’d have to shower again. No one will see my legs under my dress, anyway, so why do squats!? I’m busy making a list on the WB as to why I’m too busy to workout.

I am awesome at this game. Bahaha.

also “my roommates are here and it’d be rude to leave them to go to the gym” or “my roommates are here and I can’t just go do Jillian in my room, that’d be weird.”

not to mention that the roommates often bring home pizza.

Ohhh wow, I am the master of talking myself out of/excusing myself from exercise.  I get up at 6 for work, so I figure I surely can’t run/go to the gym in the morning…not with having to factor in a shower and getting ready time.  I’d have to get up at like 4pm!

After work? Let’s see…it’s too hot, it’s raining, it might rain, it’s too cold, i haven’t eaten enough today, i haven’t had enough water today, i’m too tired, i have a headache, i just got home and don’t want to leave the dog (why i convince myself i can’t take him running with me, i have no idea)….i can go on and on and onnnnnn
