I made mine up on MIcrosoft word, purchased papers and items from papersandmore.com and had them printed AND cut at Office Depot. They came out to about a buck apiece .

Haven’t made mine, but my sister made her’s. She’s a graphic designer, and used Illustrator to do the design. However, I think you can use Word, as mentioned above, or Publisher. In fact, publisher has some pre-designed templates. Once she had her design, she took them to a local printer (Kinkos can do it) and they turned out great! Very unique.

We made ours in GIMP (free download) with paper from Paper Source and Paper Zone.  Cost per invite was less than $2!  If I can DIY an invite, anyone can 🙂

We used 123print.com and are very happy with how things have turned out so far.  We ordered our save the dates from them and they looked good and everyone has loved them.  We wanted the pattern on the save the date and invites to match – so since it turned out well we went ahead and ordered invites, RSVP cards, thank you notes, address labels and our rehearsal dinner invites from the just the other day.  I know that sounds crazy – but they provide shipping discounts based on how much you order and since we already have our rehearsal dinner booked I went ahead and ordered to get the discount.  For all of this our costs were under $150, and that includes envelopes.
