We have a full right now, it’s been my SO’s for way too long and it’s lumpy and ugh. We’re getting a queen next month. I’m not sure we really need the extra space, we’re serious cuddlers, but I’m drooling over the idea of sleeping on a comfortable mattress for the first time in years. 🙂

@KimmySumShuga:  CalKing waterbed sounds like some serious bachelor pad gear! It’s like, the epitome! XD If the headboard was a fishtank, he’d have been set!

@Cory_loves_this_girl:  The divorcing due to a large bed thing kind of reminds me of an episode of How I Met Your Mother, where they slept in separate twin beds? I actually think it makes a lot of sense. If you have more room and get accustomed to your own space, I can see how that might create a lack of intimacy. But that’s an opinion from someone who, like I said in my other post, loooves to cuddle! I think I would feel lonely/small in a king bed.

We have a Queen. It is the perfect size for us. We are not big or very tall people and don’t have pets or anything to squeeze in. My husband likes to snuggle a lot (well, I do too) but it still gives enough room to spread when I need out with legs or something still in contact which I like.

We sleep in a King from time to time on vacation, but we both find it a bit too big. We end up with way too much room! Either way too much space in between or from the edge. Even when we spread out we like to stay in some contact so a King does not offer much benefit that way. I alsolike to hook my toes/feet over the end of the bed at night so a California King would not do (I am only 5’4″ and would be way down end of bed, my husband is 5’10” so not necessary!) but my much taller common-law ex used to really want one. Our room was not big enough for one though.

We have a queen, but i wish we had a king because there never seems to be enough room!

We had a queen for a few years and it was fine because we didn’t know any better- ha! Now, we have a king and we love it. We’re both snuggly sleepers so the extra space doesn’t change that. It’s just nice to have more room for the two cats and in the summer to spread out a bit and cool off. We’ll never go back, that’s for sure.

definitely get a King.  We currently sleep on a Queen sized mattress and it’s too small for us, plus BOTH of our dogs sleep in there too lol They are small, but still everybody spreads out and it gets rough at times. When we move from our current place, we are getting a new bed and it will be King sized

I’d love a king in theory, but I don’t like the amount of space it takes up or the visual proportions.  SO and I aren’t particularly big people, so the queen works

We have a queen and I can’t wait until we get a king. FH is a big guy (6’5″) and the queen is pretty cramped with both of us and our dogs. Plus, he hits me a lot in his sleep lol so we need more space.

My Fiance and share a queen size bed! It’s getting old, so we will probably upgrade to a King size we move into a bigger place!

King, and I’ve never slept better since we abandoned the tiny college bed I used to have.

Would’ve tried out a queen, but we got the king from family for free – I definitely don’t feel lonely or far away at night, though. We snuggle when we want to, but when one of us gets hot or is sick and needs space, we can spread out a little bit. And my cat sleeps on us as well.

ETA: We are fairly [albeit not super] tall people, both 5’10ish, and have a lot of leg and arms to throw around. We are sprawlers! If we weren’t, a king might be overkill.

We started out together sleeping on a full and it was horrible! Right now we have queen, and it works well for us. He wants a king…because I kind of sleep all of the place….but a king seems too big for some reason, I’ll just gravitate to sleeping right next to him anyway no matter the size of the bed haha. I’m sure we will get a King eventually though.
