    I think it depends on the body type. But generally I think that anyone who can wear a size 6 or below is skinny. Even at my lowest weight, I could only get down to a 5 because of my hips.

    Depends on height. At 5’3″, I would look fat at a size 6, whereas someone 6 feet tall would probably be considered skinny. My regular clothing size is a 3 and I consider myself normal.

    I agree with meliss; it totally depends on height, and probably on the perceiver’s size as well 🙂

    at 5’7″, I am between a 8 and a 10, I think size 6 and below is skinny for my height.

    I think most people think its about one size smaller than they currently are.

    I depends on the body type but I’d say either a 4 or a 6 (I voted for 4).

    That said – I don’t think that everyone should strive to be skinny.  I don’t even think I’d look good as a size 6 – for my body, I feel that would look too skinny.  So it really all depends.

    @Miss Peach Tree

    Ha! My vote was one size smaller than what I am currently. I guess you are right!

    It does depend on body type and height, I am 5ft 11 and look skinnier than my 5ft 5 friends who are smaller sizes than me, even thought I weigh more than them

    I think six and below is flatteringly skinny at any height.  At 6, I feel healthy and comfortable.  At 8, I don’t feel totally confident, but OK.  At 10, I feel flabby.  I’m 5’2″, former army.  128 is my optimum healthy weight.   That’s a size 6-8 at 5’2″.  I do have an hourglass figure, and I am well endowed (I wish I was half this bloody well endowed), so I have to shop for bust and hip sizes, not waist.

    I didn’t vote b/c it really depends on a person’s height and build. I know for me personally…anything below a size 12 would be skinny. I am talking collarbones and hip bones jutting out skinny. That’s b/c I am fairly tall 5’9″ and have a large frame. For someone shorter and/or with a smaller frame…a size 12 would look ginormous to them. It’s all relative.

    I voted size 2 and below.  But I think that’s just what I’m comfortable with at my size/body weight.  I’m only 5’1″ and anything bigger than a 2 looks not skinny (not fat either — just not skinny).

    Well, i’m 6’1″ and if I was anything under an 8-10, i’d be anorexic, so for my body type, that’s the size i’d pick!

    @Miss Peach Tree: good answer!

    i agree it’s all relative to your height and frame. i voted 4 and under, but i know a statuesque beauty who wears an 8-10 and would certainly be considered thin….she’s just 6’2!

    @crayfish:  I’m like you, 6 feet tall with a big frame…anything below 8 is skinny, skinny, skinny.  I am by no means fat right now at a 12!

    I think anything below is size 4…but again it depends on height and frame! Im a size 4 and 5’9 and I barely ever get called skinny! I have a small frame though.
