    My guess is a third. I love solitude diamonds AND you can have fun picking out any style wedding band to go with it when the time comes!

    Maybe you could ask if it has already been appraised or insured and find out that way.

    It does look a bit tight to me. A size 5 is a little on the smaller side – the average female ring size is around 6, 6.5. Are you able to get it on and off okay? To me, a little tight is better than too loose, but you don’t want it to be too tight – especially if your fingers ever swell.

    I wear a size 5.25 and so judging from my ring I’d guess it’s a .33 or .25 solitaire.

    @countrygirlsrevenge:  There’s 6 prongs on there- my guess is it’s more a .5

    Measure the diameter (across from one side to another) in milimeters.

    4mm = ~.25 (1/4) ct

    4.5mm= ~.33 (1/4) ct

    5mm= ~.5 (1/2) ct

    I would put it at .2-.3

    I think it’s between 0.33 and 0.5, but I do think you should resize it. It looks way too tight.

    I have a similar size ring (5.25) with a 6mm moissanite (about .75 equivalent). I would guess yours is between .3-.5 carats- I’m thinking closer to .5 🙂 Whatever the size, congrats, it is BEAUTIFUL! (I’m slightly biased…I also have a solitaire yellow gold e-ring!)

    @countrygirlsrevenge:  1/3 ct.  however it looks uncomfortable on your hand, like you’re squeezed into a ring a size too small.  Bet  you’re not a 5 but a 6.  Love the ring though–a 6 prong diamond solitaire–so understated and classy. Smile

    I wear a size 5 1/4, so I was comparing it to my ring… Mine is a .4ct, but in an illusion setting so it’s hard to compare… My guess is somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2ct.

    ETA: I agree with others, it looks too tight!
