Love this forum, helps me get a goal! I’m currently 5’8” and weighing 155-157. I hope to lose 30 lbs before the wedding and goal size is a 2 or a 4.

At Alfred Angelo, I measured at an 8 but fit into a 4 on the sample sizes.

At a small, multi-designer dress shop I wore an 8, 10 or 12. Some Essence of Australia gowns (my favorite desginer) didn’t even fit at a size 12.

I didn’t actually post my size before- at 5’10” 180lbs my Vera Wang dress was ordered at an 18  (waist was at a 14), I’m a street size 10.  I’ve been losing weight and I’m worried I’ll have to get the dress taken in so much that it’ll look weird!

I’m 5’5”, 145 lbs (hoping to lose 15 lbs by the big day!), and they ordered my Watters in an 8. I’m a bit curvy on the bottom but I bought an A-line so it didn’t matter. I’m sure if I had bought something more fitted I would have gotten a 10.

I am 5’3″, 115 lbs, and ordered an 8, but I’m a street size 4. I am a total pear, so I had to order a bigger size to fit my hips and booty 🙂

I am 5’11 and 150 and I wore an Amsale 10 (so street size 6-8).

When I bought my dress I was 5’7, 142 lbs.

The size 6 gowns fit pretty well, but I ended up getting a sample size and getting it altered. I couldn’t beat the price! The sample was a size 10 and I had to get the waist drastically taken in, but length was perfect.

When I ordered the dress I was 148 lbs, 5′ 1″.  Ordered a size 12, Jim Hjelm.

Lost 25 lbs and the dress had to be altered to about a size 8.

I’m 5’6″ and 140ish. I ordered a Mori Lee 10. I would have had to order a 12 in dresses that zipped up the back but mine was a corset so that helped. I am hoping to lose 10-15 lbs before it comes arrives in April. Fingers crossed!

5’8… 131 pounds… ordered a size 4 Enzoani and it needs to be taken up at the hem but fits fine everywhere else

I’m 5’7 and roughly 120-125 lbs. I had my dress custom made, but I tried on a Rosa Clara in size 4 that fit me like a glove. So did the size 2 Vera Wang @ David’s Bridal

5’11” 150 lbs, I got a size 8 “Anniston” Maggie Sottero (they measured me as a 12, but sadly I know my body and im oddly muscular), its too big (when the corset is laced the sides touch!), I should have ordered the 6! I am going to have to have it taken in about 1-2 inches on each side : /

I’m 5’9″ and about 150 pounds. I ordered a size 10. Although, dependending on the designer, the dresses I tried on were anywhere from an 8 to a 14!
