I would say my Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets were about 8″ and mine was about 12″.  I think the 12″ was a good size for a bridal bouquet, but I never really gave any thought to the sizes!

Hmm, I’m not sure the diameter of mine, but it was about 30 stems.  Roses, spray roses, lisianthus, and purple statics.  Here’s a body shot size reference. If I had to venture a guess, I would go with mine being 12″.

here’s mine…

It’s hard to say how many *inches* it was…I don’t think it was 12″.  But… I’m rather petite, and I didn’t want a particularly large boquet that would cover up my dress (which had details/beading on it that I wanted to be sure people could see.)

@red_rose: that’s true, it did pretty much cover up my entire front. Though if I draw a 12″ circle it looks *really* big.  Maybe it was more like 10 or 11, but definitely more than 8.  Here’s another picture of it held up.

I always recommend it based on the size of the gown and bride. But typically it should be larger than the bridesmaids. 🙂

It also depends on the flowers.

Mine was more than 8 for sure… but 12 seems awefully big. Who knows, maybe it was.

Oh, I don’t know that I could even guess diameter, but I would think larger than 8 inches…

Ok, so I totally just went and measured my husband’s hat in my avatar to get a reference point.  It has a 9″ diameter, and my bouquet looks slightly larger than that, so I’d say it was 10-11″ diameter.

I think it really depends on the flowers you are asking for in your bouquet. Hydrangeas and peonies are really puffy and less is more with those guys so you might end up having a smaller bouquet but the same amount of drama. Lisanthus and roses seem to puff out a lot and I’ve seen those a lot in the 12″ bouquets you’re mentioning. Mine is going to have green cymbidium orchids, white tea roses and some other accents and I want it to be more petite than 12″….I’m not concerned with it being bigger than the BMs (although it will be slightly) because my flowers are different from theirs.

I would guess mine was about 10″?  I think I had a dozen roses, 3 callas and the red berries.  I didn’t want something totally huge, because it was heavy enough already and I didn’t have a puffy dress.  (Have I mentioned lately that I want my pro pics back BAD!!  haha)

I have no idea how many inches mine was.  My floirst looked at me (my height, weight, proportions, etc) and sized my bridal bouquet so it would look appropriate based on the size of my body.

My BMs bouquets were then made a little smaller than mine.
