mfox89:  yes it does as each designer has specific measurement charts….that’s what I was told anyways! :+)

8 & 8.  It’s a sample though, so I think it’s been stretched a bit which is why.  It’s Blue Willow Bride by Anne Barge.

At the time of my wedding, I was a street size 6/8 and my dress was a 10.

However, it really depending on the designer and their size. Heck, even a couple MS dresses were different. a more fitted dress was a size 10-12 and a sheath dress was an 8.

I wouldn’t worry about wedding dress size, as it’s ALL different.

Street size 0 and dress size 0. It was like a legit ball gown though, so it was only really fitted in the chest and waist – not in hips or thighs.  I had them sew cups in because I couldn’t fill the chest out :/

I think designers are all over the place size-wise and shape-wise because I tried on a few dresses that were all different sizes and shapes that fit me similar…

I’m a street size 2 or 4 depending. I looked at the size chart for my wedding dress designer and it was all over the place. My waist was a 0, my hips a 4, and my bust an 8. They recommended an 8 and that’s what I went with.

I’m a street size 8-10, and wedding dress 16.  I had to get it taken in a lot at the waist, some at the bust, and couple inches off the hem.  I probably could have gone with the 14, but didn’t want to risk it

At the time I got married, I was normally a size 16 but wedding dresses run small so I had to order an 18 and have it altered in some areas.

I am so small I don’t exist. Very proud!

Jk.

But I think Monsterly had a point — these numbers are meaningless and only bound to set up false comparisons. We are all fabulous. #yesallbees

I’m a proud size 16 (I’ve got some curves) and I ordered a 16W and I ended up having to have it taken in. I’m wearing a Alfred Angelo dress.

I measured a size 2(bust)/4(hips)/6(waist) in February and ordered a size 4, since I usually drop to a size 2 in the summer, which is when I’ll have my fittings. My sizing is weird (my dress is Casablanca). I have a 32Dear Daughter bust but the size chart says a 2 is 33, 4 is a 34! I definitely don’t want the top falling down at any point so the tighter the better. Fingers crossed it’s not too small!
