- Wedding: April 2013
My fiancé and I are getting married in April in NSW, we are getting married in a beautiful old church, which just happens to be the same church my parents were married in andmy grandparents on both sides we married in. We are then heading back to my grandparents farm for the reception.
The original idea was to have it in their barn but it needs too much work. Instead we will hire a marquee. Wr have 40 guests on the gueslatest and to isn’t I decided to check out marquees. I don’t know what SIZE!!
My vision is a rustic/vintage/eclectic reception, with a big u shaped table, wide enough for people to sit on both sides so it’s not antisocial. We would then put the kids in the middle of the u so their parentas could keep an eye on them. I’d like a dance floor and a bar area at the end and I’d love to be able to fit a comfy old couch or some haybales as aalternate seating ‘chillout’ area.are there any rules of thumb as to how many guests = what size marquee?
