Thats hard to tell from the picture, it depends on how big your hand is etc, it could be 2.3 mm.

pess:  Agreed. If you put something next to it for scale like a penny it would help. But I’m really not sure why you’re doubting the lady, I’m assuming she used a ruler and measured it in order to come up with that number? If not then can’t you measure it with a ruler? It’s a beautiful ring though, the band size looks great but if you want it thicker go for it.

Yes, it looks like a 2.3 mm band. Mine is a 2.5 mm and looks almost identical. But it is very easy for bands to look thinner or thicker depending on the light, the angle or the size of the stone and/or finger. Realistically, the salesperson has nothing to gain by lying, so why would you doubt them?

Need more info.  FWIW, it does not look like 2.3mm to me.

It does look really thin…thin enough for me to consider getting a wider band for myself than the 2.5 I have picked out. I don’t know what the lady would gain by lying either, but it really does look thin.

It does look like a 2.3, but maybe a tiny bit smaller… 2.2?

    What size is the stone?

Mine is 1.7 or 1.8 I can’t remember and it definitely looks thinner, so I would say it does look to be around 2 or 2.3mm.

Hard to tell from a picture, but if the lady at the reputable jeweler says it’s 2.3mm, then it’s most likely 2.3mm. Jewelers have tools for easily measuring this stuff, but if you don’t trust her don’t buy from her.

taylorturtle:  It looks like 2.3mm to me. But… it seems that you still want a wider band regardless of what size it is currently, so real the question is, do you get another shank or keep it as-is. Personally I think it’s perfect! The wider you go, the smaller the diamond will appear IMO.

Yes it absolutely looks like its 2.3mm in my opinion. Which is actually alot thinner than it sounds. I think it’s a great size and looks very nice on you.

I’d say it definitly looks at least 2.3mm.

I thought mine was a lot thinner until I tried it on with a 2mm and a 2.5mm plain wedding band And realised that 2mm is thinner than you’d expect!

Yeah, it looks like 2.3mm, no doubt. If you want thicker, I’d go for 3mm. 🙂
