Does anyone know what size pomander ball would look best hanging against a pew? I’ve been looking online and want to purchase some but they are all different sizes and I’m not sure which way to go.
Is 5″ wide big enough, which would probably have a circumfirence of about 14″ from what I’ve seen or should I try to go bigger like 6 or 8″?
Wedding is only 3 weeks away and I don’t have ANY ceremony decorations so I really need to get this figured out fairly quickly, also if anyone has any sites or Etsy buyers that have them for reasonable price and that look nice that would be great!

I used a 4″ ball and that was more than enough – the finished product was about the size of a soccer ball.

@oracle: I’m going to buy them pre-made, the ones I’ve been looking at say they’re 4-5″ wide but i don’t the actual size around and some other ones say 6″ but again don’t know the size around, do you think that would be an okay size?

I am also using the 4 inch balls. They seem small until you put the flowers on them. They seem to be the perfect size!

I think 5 inches would be good, you dont want something huge and gawdy.

I’m using fresh flowers, so a 3-4inch round oasis gets pretty big once you add in the flowers – about 5-8inches when finished.

I’m wondering the same thing. I’d like to use them as centerpieces later on the day, so I want them to be a good size, like 7 inch across. What size ball do I use to start with? Thanks!

I made tissue paper poms and used a 4″ ball. here’s what the finished ones look like, they’re about 7″ or so now.
