I’m a size 8 and my dress was a size 8, but that’s only because it was a sample dress so it was fairly stretched from being tried on so many times. I wouldn’t have been able to wear an 8 brad new, it would have been too tight.

@cls9q:  My street size is a 12 and so is my dress. The sample dresses I tried on were between an 8 and a 12. I thought for sure I would have to order a 16 or larger because everyone told me wedding dresses run really small and I would have to go up at least 2 sizes. It didn’t happen in my case. The sample size was a 10 and it was a tad too snug so I ordered the 12 and I’m so happy I did. It doesn’t need much alterations. Good luck dress shopping. It is soooo much fun!

I’m a street size 4 (or 7 in juniors) but my wedding dress was an 8. I was very lucky that most of the samples at stores were right around size 8-10.

@cls9q:  your body proportions look very similar to mine. i’m a street size 6, and my dress was a sample size 12. I don’t like looking at the label lol but it was taken in quite a bit at the top and waist, so that makes me feel a little better.

@cls9q:  I normally wear a size 2 and they had me order a size 8. It was way too big and had to be altered quite a bit, but I guess that’s how it works to make sure all the measurements can fit/be adjusted to be smaller depending on each part of the dress where measurements are taken. I was really worried about the size, and it all worked out..even though it DID cost more in the long run. Hope this helps!!

@cls9q:  I wear a size 6 from Banana Republic and a size 27-28 in jeans. When I went to try on dresses the women measured my hips and booty and told me I feel into the Size 18 range! I seriously about walked out of the bridal salon. I ended up sizing up to a size 14. The sample is a 10 and I could zip it up

I am normally size 2-4 and my dress was a 6. My hips are also the biggest of my measurements and because of that I felt like I looked awful in the mermaids/fit and flare styles I tried on. I ended up going with a ballgown so my hip measurements became irrelevant 😉

@GretaMae316:  So I didn’t end up going with the Marisa dress, BUT your dress is the exact one that I was considering! It is soooooo gorgeous!!! I am obsessed with the rosy color under the lace, and it looks amazing on you!

Measure yourself and you should be able to get an idea of what size you’ll order.

I am size 0-2 in dresses normally, size 4-6 in pants, XS in tops (32-25-36ish) and my dress was ordered in size 4.  It fit in the hips perfectly, and was taken in a little in the waist, and a LOT in the top.
