Do you mean your invites are going to be more than 1st class postage? Or do you need the small stamps due to the postage increase?

Forever stamps are 1st class rate forever, so they’ll work alone, unless you’re asking about what if your invites are like $.48 or something. In that case, there aren’t a ton of options, but I’d try to match up colors.

You don’t need to add postage to a forever stamp to cover normal first class postage, but if your invitation is too heavy or too big, you probably need to use 2 stamps.

I weighed my invites yesterday, and I’m all good – phew!  No extra postage needed.

I wish I could wait to send them out until THESE gorgeous stamps come out!

DC is absolutely stunning when the cherry blossoms bloom and the city turns a lovely, soft pink.

@Earlybride: Hehe, ok, just checking, sometimes folks don’t know that 🙂

How much over are you? That’d help with suggesting which stamps to use. There aren’t many, but there is a cute new $.03 coffee pot one with maroon that might match will with teal. Here’s the link to all the ‘off postage.’

@Earlybride:  I brought the LOVE forever stamp too…I am not sure if I will need an extra stamp until invites are completed and I weigh them

@Earlybride:  Well then you need either $.65 or $.85, and in both of those cases, your forever stamps are useless unless you plan to double up.

@zagora:  Gorgeous! I used to live in DC and the cherry blossoms were something I looked forward to every year.

@zagora:  OMG I LOVE THOSE!!! Our wedding colors are green/cream/pink all revolving around a cherry blossom theme – these are so freaking amazing!!! I’m in love. And they’re coming like two weeks before we’ll be dropping our invites in the mail. I just died of happiness.

OP: the 65 cent wedding cake stamp is pretty, that’s a good option if it fits what you need 🙂

@WineAndCupcakes:  I KNOW.  I would totally pay the extra postage (yay! keeping USPS solvent!) to have both stamps on my invite even though I don’t need it!

I’m going to buy tons anyway, maybe will use on our thank you notes?
