I always just “assumed” I’d walk down to “here comes the bride” but now I am thinking “Marry Me” by Train. I love love love the idea of it, but its so different, and I think I love it even more! Now just wondering who the heck I get to play it…..and to make sure they start at the exact moment in the song i want it to start at. do i leave this up to the church or get a friend to be in charge?
What are your walking down the aisle songs?

I am going to walk to “Longer” by Dan Fogelberg (it’s an old tune…) and I think we will use “All You Need is Love” by the Beatles for the recessional. Luckily, our ceremony is in the same place as the reception so our DJ will handle all of it 🙂

I’m walking down to Canon in D. It brings a tear to my eye! When I actually heard ‘Hear Comes the Bride’ it sounded a bit tacky to me….so we decided to switch it up!

“Here, There and Everywhere” by the Beatles.

Canon in D as well! I have always loved it and always thought that when I got married I would walk down the aisle to it. I was so relieved when it was on the allowed music list at our church – they have restriactions over anything non religious.

I’m doing Marry Me. 🙂 My mom wasn’t too happy – “this is the ONLY TIME you get to plan something to the wedding march!” – but she said she felt better when she heard the song.

We haven’t selected specific songs yet for the ceremony, but it’ll be something classical since we hired a string duo. I really like Canon in D but it makes me cry every time, not sure why! Ideally I’d like something that doesn’t trigger my tears.

I am walking down to “I can’t wait” by Runner Runner 🙂

I walked down to “The Proposal” from the movie Ever After. It’s classical and super pretty (and not too long!)

I wanted to walk to Marry Me but Fiance vetoed it. He doesn’t really like Train’s music in general :/ You picked a beautiful song, I am jealous!
I really want to walk to an instrumental version of “Realize” by Colbie Caillat. I love the song but I’m having trouble finding an instrumental version that includes the melody — the bit she actually sings. Most of them are karaoke versions that just have the background music. I hope I can find it. It’s such a beautiful song!
EDIT: I just found a gorgeous instrumental cover of Paramore’s The Only Exception — Colbie has competition 🙂
