@prairiedog: We had a close friend play it on guitar, and sing. It probably would have been Canon, which I always thought it would be (and would have loved) until I read Mrs. Turtle’s post about walking down a stringed version of “Something”. I loved that idea, and so did DH, but we loved “Here There and Everywhere” more.

my fiance and i song is ” So Close” by Jon Mclaughlin from the movie Enchanted!!! he proposed to me after dancing to this song so we are having it played on piano when i walk down the aisle!!!

We’re still debating, but I think our first choice right now is Meiko – Give Me A Reason To Fall Inlove (youtube link).

We want something non-traditional, and love to slow dance to this song while we cook dinner together (ok, while I cook dinner and he watches me).

I really like Here Comes the Sun for the bridal party, and I’m planning to use Matt Maher’s Hold Us Together (youtube link) for our processional and recessional. The first half of the song is sweet and building, so great for my entrance, and the second half is just a big celebration and I think it fits well for a wedding. It’s Christian, pretty catchy, and hopefully get folks excited for the party!

Vitamin String Quartet’s version of U2’s With or Without You. It’s so pretty on its own, but I chose it also because when I was very young, The Joshua Tree had just come out, and I remember my dad playing it and dancing with me in our living room. I couldn’t have been more than 2, but I’ve always remembered it, so it’s kind of my special nod to my dad.
