i walked down to moon river, which my maid of honor sang. both sets of my grandparents used it as their wedding song, and the lyrics are really amzaing (lots of people have a strange connection with it because of breakfast at tiffanys and the mood of the movie)

“two drifters off to see the world” “where ever you’re going, im going with you”

its a great song.

I am walking down the aisle to the Vitamin String Quartet version of Coldplay’s “Yellow” If you never have heard of them, you should check them out on Itunes or Youtube. They are amazing! They are a string quartet that does modern songs. Our entire ceremony music is from them. Our prelude is “Chasing Cars” (Snow Patrol), The moms and grandmothers are being seated to “Beautiful Day” (U2), the groomsmen “Vida La Vida” (Coldplay), The bridesmaids “Fireflies”(Owl City), our recession is “Dare you to move”(Switchfoot), and our postlude music is “Wonderwall”(Oasis), Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve), and “The Scientist”(Coldplay). I’m sure you can tell that we love us some Coldplay! Try it for something that is both traditional and non-traditional!

I am unsure of the rest of the wedding party but as of right now I know the flower girls/ring bearers/my maid of honor and me will be walking in to the guitar intro on Love Song by Tesla.  In a church there are more restrictions so we are getting married outside.  Trying to work some GN’R in there somewhere too!

I walked down to the acoustic version of “Annie’s Song” by John Denver…the words are amazing

Come let me love you,
let me give my life to you
let me drown in your laughter,
let me die in your arms
let me lay down beside you,
let me always be with you
come let me love you,
come love me again.

Another Canon in D here too. There is something about the tradition of that song that give me goosebumps. It’s pretty much the only traditional thing in our wedding.

Our recessional will be That’s Amore!
