I’m really torn on my aisle song. I’m thinking about Marry Me by Train, possibly just the music from it, or accoustic version? Either that or something by Jun Curry Ahn. Look him up on Youtube, he’s AMAZING!
As for first dance, we are pretty set on Strangers in The Night by Frank Sinatra because it has special significance to us. I also love the idea of using I Have And Always Will by Dave Barnes.
I know it sounds super dorky but all of my ceremony music is classical pieces all of which will be played by a string quartet possibly with a piano as well but I think I am actually going to (don’t make fun of me!) walk down the aisle to Christina Perry’s A Thousand Years (yes, from twilight!) on string quartet. It is absolutely wonderful and exactly what I was looking for in terms of sound:
We haven’t decided yet but our first dance will probably be a classical Waltz song but we don’t know yet for sure.
@quierajen: LOL that’s hilarious! Its amazing, right? There’s something about it that just makes it seem perfect for walking down the aisle, i think its because it has this really great uplifting sort of build up and its super romantic.
@mcp3x: Yeah. It is super romantic. I love this song but worry that it’s too fast paced for an aisle song.. But I LOVE the lyrics “You wear white and I’ll wear out the words I love you and you’re beautiful” It’s such a perfect aisle song.
@quierajen: We are trying our best to make it a point in the ceremony to show that God is an important part of our relationship and marriage, without it being too much for those who are not religious in the crowd. I am going to to be walking down the aisle to “How He Loves” by David Crowder, with our communion/vows done with the song “Mystery of Fidelity” by Alanna Story.
Our first dance is “When You Got a Good Thing” by Lady A 🙂
@navybride0428: Yeah, It’s REALLY hard not to find a song that you love that isn’t over used for an aisle walk song. Especially for me because a lot of aisle walk songs that are more tuned for that are religious and neither SO or I are religious and prefer to keep it a non-religious ceremony. I’m actually thinking about messaging Jun Curry Ahn personally and asking him to maybe make a cover of a song just for us since he doesn’t have many romantic songs up? He could maybe choose what it is for us so that would be special, or Doug and I could sit down and figure one out together and ask him to cover it.
I’m going to be walking down the aisle to a cover of “A Thousand Years” by the Piano guys. It’s so romantic, gorgeous, and just incredible all around. Also (to my knowledge) it’s not overly used either, so it’ll be something more unique. 🙂
Our first dance is going to be History in the Making by Darius Rucker. It’s a song Fiance and I both adore
We chose Strangers in The Night by Frank Sinatra because of how we met.
We met online and the night that we met in person, it was evening and as soon as we set eyes on eachother we just started to fall for eachother and by the end of that first night we were falling in love. It was so perfect!
I’m walking down the aisle to The Piano Guys’ rendition of Taylor Swift’s Love Story. I know, it sounds SO juvenile saying I’m using a Taylor Swift song, but seriously this version is SO pretty. I LOVE The Piano Guys!!! I was thinking of the Christina Perry song but honestly I hate the Twilight movies (loved the books) and can’t help but associate the song with the movie. When I heard Love Story I knew right away that it was what I was using.
