Feels Like Home by Chantal Kreviazuk

or

Everything by Lifehouse

I might have my girls walk to one and I’ll pick the other.

@runsyellowlites:  Ok so I looked up the song So Are You To Me by EastMountainSouth last night, and I might be changing my mind now and going for that instead of Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop.  It’s BEAUTIFUL.  Maybe My girls can walk to one and I’ll walk to the other… 🙂

“My Wish” by Rascall Flatts would be REALLY good to walk in to with. It’s a wish from parents to children who are abt to get married and start a new life. The tune is catchy as well. Trust me, you’ll love it!

Our friend is playing the bagpipes for our processional and recessional.  I gave him some guidelines and he will choose two songs.  At my entrance, he is going to switch to The Water is Wide.

Our choices were limited by the range of the highland pipes — 9 notes!

If we had a string quartet, I planning would have incorporated the wedding march from Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro because it’s one of my favorite operas and it’s less cliche than the Wagner or Mendohlssohn pieces.

I’m toying with Van Morrison, which has special meaning to us.  Part of me would love to use Tupelo Honey, but it’s pretty slow.

We’re friends with a rock musician who is playing the ceremony and cocktail hour with with rhythm guitarist, so I think we’ll consult with them on what they’re comfortable with.

@Kant: That’s so funny… our first dance song is Your Song as well, but we picked the Moulin Rouge cheesy version cause that’s what Fiance liked HAHA! Great minds think alike.

@cortneyc: Thank you. It’s beautiful and I teared up the first time I heard the piano version… so of course that was my choice. I listen to it all the time so I can get used to hearing it and don’t bawl my eyes out LOL

I have a piano and flute player and I’ll walk in to Aníron from the Lord of the Rings. I’m a bit of a geek. 😀

We used “Use Somebody”, the version by Laura Jansen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eqhh3b7oLg

Our DJ ended up playing the version with words, but no biggie, it worked really well and we got compliments on it.

A selection from Radiohead’s Paranoid Android, covered by our string trio.  Should be wild.
