The bridesmaids & groomsmen walked in to The Feather Song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEY3o00LRHI
My father and I walked in to the theme from Anne of Green Gables. (I cried EVERY TIME we heard it leading up to the wedding, but made it up the aisle alright day-of! My sister lived, ate, and breathed Anne growing up. Perfect.) The doors at the back of the sanctuary stayed closed (for dramatic effect) until about 28 seconds into this version of the song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrLzO6C7toc
We left the ceremony to “The Last Dance” from BBC’s Emma. We stood for pictures and applause at the front until the violin intro finished. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQJ35HhCjNI
Two very talented friends (one a professional violinist, her daughter an amazing pianist) provided the music for us. If possible, use live musicians rather than recorded! They were able to alter the songs to the correct length, and we didn’t risk an awkward pause while someone either cut an audio track short or tried to fade it out, which I often notice with weddings.
I walked down the aisle to hallelujah we had musicians and a singer, she was amazing. It was beautiful. I love that song.
I walked down the aisle to The One by Kodaline. My best friend for 17 years sang as I walked down 🙂
The Piano Guys version of A Thousand Years by Christina Perri.. Still gets me in the feels when it comes on lol
Morning Has Broken is the song my mom walked down the aisle to so I am using the same song. Our recessional is I Could Sing of Your Love Forever.
I am planning on having my bridal party and I walk down to A Woman Like You by Blake Shelton. Hopefully we can get it timed right
I walked down to Song for Zula by Phosphorescent. We loved the intro of the song because it plays in our favourite movie (Amazing Spider-Man 2) and it sounds like a heartbeat which created cool and emotional vibe when I was walking down the aisle.
So mine is either going to be She is love by parachute the accoustic version OR John Legent You and I
I thought I had my song picked but now I’m torn. Really love these three. 1.) She’s Everything – Brad Paisley 2.) I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing – Aerosmith 3.) Truly Madly Deeply – Savage Garden. Darn these music threads inspiring me to keep looking. 😋
I’m having a violinist and a harpist, who will be performing The Glasgow Love Theme. https://youtu.be/dnZX3d2Msi4
Sound of Music wedding theme!
