+1 on what ljm said about getting local college students to play the music.  My ceremony music will be performed by students from the UNC School of the Arts.  It’s cheaper than professional musicians, but unlike some “professional” musicians, I trust that the students are well trained!

jolie2:  we have friends who are musicians so a friend played violin and her husband played guitar… Bridal party entered to Oasis Wonderwall and I walked down the aisle to Coldplay The Scientist. We exited to Bittersweet Symphony. It was totally perfect 😀

The Imperial March.

Kidding, kidding. No, I’m planning to walk to Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole. And before that, the wedding party will walk to an acoustic guitar instrumental of One Love (Bob Marley).

Bridesmaids and I will walk down the aisle to Somebody to Love by Queen. I used Garage Band on my Mac to seamlessly remove the guitar solo for a more formal feel. So excited!!

Our whole ceremony was Vitamin String Quartet covers of songs we liked. Sounds classy but more to our taste.

I chose a string quartet cover of Don’t Stop Believing by Journey for my entrance.

reptar:  I walked down to Somebody to Love played by a live trio/quartet (it’s a blur) and it was the best!

I am going to walk down the aisle to “Wildflowers” by Tom Petty – my DJ is going to cut it so that the lyrics work with the time it takes to walk down
