I’m considering walking down to the metal version on the bridal chorus. But then I realized it just didn’t fit. So i’m picking something from Vitamin Sting Quartet and it the metal march at the end of ceremony.

I’m right there with you! I always thought Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring would be gorgeous, but I didn’t want to look back on it 20 years from now and wish I’d gone the traditional song route. And it’s just so…”wedding.” Not that being creative is a bad thing. I LOVE the songs these creative brides are using. And having your groom play? I’d totally be in tears before the vows even started! =-)

Our processional will be “Feels Like Home” by Chantal Kreviazuk and the recessional is “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None the Richer. Every time I hear “Feels Like Home” I bawl like a baby!

@brazier_3: oooh, that’s our first dance song! Love it!
The girls are walking in to The Section Quartet’s version of Such Great Heights (Postal Service version) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIQskg-zOCs
and I am walking to Vitamin String Quartet’s version of Paramore’s Hallelujah http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81XL32QK1p8. Not this biggest Paramore fan, but this version made me giddy with excitement. Considering I have to walk down stairs, hopefully not too giddy!
Sorry if anyone posted it already, like I said, it makes me giddy! 🙂
Our recessional is Plain White Ts 1234 – I’m from Chicago and it was filmed there… on my birthday… the first day Mr. Chocolate told me he loved me 🙂

@Ginger87: have you heard VSQs version of Sweet Child O’ Mine? Everyone will recognize it but it’s a little more “appropriate” 😉

My Fiance plays the violin (he’s darn good too!). We are going to have him record tracks of a song–which is undecided at this point–and I’m going to walk down the isle to him playing the violin. Our parents are pissed about the “canned music” thing, but it means so much to us to have him playing as I walk down the isle!! This way, he can focus on getting married and not what note to play next as well as adding other tracks so he can be the whole sting quaretet!!!

Walking down the aisle to “Songbird” straight off the Eva Cassidy CD by the same name! It is just a beautiful song and I hope I can keep it together walking down the aisle when it is playing and not bawl my head off the whole time….
Recessional will be either “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”–the Hawaiin version by Iz or Bob Marley’s “One World, One Love” 😀

EXACTLY the same as me…….well…..not Bob Marley but the other two

My brother will be playing Somewhere over the Rainbow – Israel “IZ” KamakawiwoÊ»ole on his acoustic guitar (no singing though, I just love the beat). Beach wedding here 🙂

I am playing “Secret Garden” by Bruce Springsteen. I just love that song!

Butterfly Waltz for my Bridal entrance. I found it on one of those Wedding music compilation cds. The processional for everone else will be a piano version of Taylor Swift’s Love Story.

@waitingbee: that’s what I’ll be walking down the isle to as well!
