I’m planning to use the song In my life by the Beatles.

@PrincessBride27:  Well I’m planning to use the theme from Princess Bride, so I’d put that on your list, considering your user name! ๐Ÿ™‚

But of the ones you picked, I’d do “I Won’t Give Up”. And yes, I do associate Thousand Years with Twilight even though I never even saw the movie!

I voted for Christina Perri! That’s the song we are doing our first dance to. I love that song!

I want to use Happy Together by the Turtles. But… I can’t find an instrumental version anywhere. How to work around this?

Biggest piece of input I have here, while I LOVE Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve, I don’t think it’s wedding appropriate AT ALL. It’s not a very happy song despite how beautiful it is if you really think about the lyrics. Also, that song became really popular in the US because of the movie Cruel Intentions, and that whole movie is about horrible people, drugs, sex, cheating, lying and death. Not the connations I would want anyone to associate with my wedding.

I voted for “A Thousand Years” – but I think if you could find just the music it would be really nice?

Personally I listened to a few songs that I thought would work and be nice. I based my decision on what made me ball my eyes/super duper excited b/c all I could see was my FH standing at the end of the isle waiting for me. ๐Ÿ™‚

I am going to walk down the isle to my FH’s nephew playing “Cant Help Falling Inlove” by Elvis on guitar. He loves Elvis, and we moved in together after knowing eachother for 2.5 months. ๐Ÿ˜€ It may be cheesy and overdone – but it is perfect for us and at the end of the day that’s all that matters.

I cried when I found this, which is what I asked his nephew to learn to play: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdRxjz9OTyQ

I love A Thousand Years…but I think of Twilight when I hear it. So we’ll be using the song for when we’re announced as husband and wife. We’re just having a classical guitarist, so we’re going with this version:

I walked down the aisle to “Aerith’s Theme” by Nobuo Uematsu (“Final Fantasy” video game composer). The music for that series is absolutely beautiful. I also considered “Julia” from FF8. Our recessional was FF8’s “Love Grows,” from the album “20020220,” and I think it’s also fitting for a stroll down the aisle.

My feeling is – who cares what other people think about when they hear something? If it’s beautiful and you like it, you like it. I think many of your song ideas are nice.

i’ve been to four weddings so far this year and everyone has either Christina Perri as the song they walked down the aisle to or their first dance song.

So, i vote for anything but that!  More so, Bittersweet Symphony!
