- Wedding: August 2012 - W Hotel Silicon Valley
Hi Bees! I was VERY meticulous about choosing the perfect songs for our wedding day! I went back and forth for weeks and didn’t even submit the final final list to our DJ until a week before the wedding!
After all of that, the one song I ended up remembering most was our processional. I chose “Ho Hey” by the Lumineers and had the DJ start the song around :55 in. It was SO perfect and I’ll always have happy memories every time I hear that song.
Surprisingly, I only gave our DJ guidelines for our dinner music (artists, types of music) and that turned out absolutely AMAZING, he picked the perfect music and it set the tone more perfectly than even I could have if I’d given him a list of hand-picked songs!
What was/were the most memorable song/songs on your wedding day? Did you expect them to be?

My first dance song, which seems like a very obvious choice, but it turned out to be even more memorable than I thought it was going to be. I was really confused when we finished our thank-you speech, and the music started playing, and my Darling Husband was still holding the microphone… until he sang our song to me. Hands down one of my favorite moments of our wedding. It was “Look At You Girl” by Chris LeDoux.

Love Hurts by Nazareth… I love that song and it was pretty much the only one he played that I requested.
He indicated that my playlist won’t get the crowd up, so I said fine, it’s in your hands.
And I’m glad I did cuz people went on about how much fun they had for months and months after my wedding.
