Well this probably won’t be super helpful as Im not sure how these will translate to a piano and violin… but…

– pre processional: Glasgow Love Theme by Craig Armstrong (this one is on piano)

– processional: God Only Knows by The Beach Boys

– hand fasting ceremony: Once Upon a Time (sans lyrics):  Mark Knopfler

– end of the ceremony:  we haven’t decided yet, but the possibilities are Two Step (DMB) Go Do (Jonsi), Clocks (Coldplay), or You’ve Got the Love (Florence and the Machine)

I love that you ladies are also walking down to Canon D.  I’ve known that would be my walking song forever!

@Iloveyourlovethemost:  I’m usually not a Taylor Swift fan, but have a few songs on my iphone…everytime love story comes on lately, I cry! Good choice 🙂

We had a string quartet play.  We had the Bridesmaids walk down with Canon D.  I walked down to Sweet Child of Mine and the recessional we did Journey’s Don’t stop Believing. We sent the vitamin string quartet on Utube to them so that they were able to play the songs we did want.

Canon D for the Bridal Party; Wagner’s Bridal chorus for my entrance; Ave Maria, Gracias Senor, & You Raise Me Up during the mass; and the Wedding March for the recessional. Pretty traditional.

We’ll have recorded music.

The bridal party processional will be Act III from Satyagraha, an opera by Philip Glass. It’s a series of beautiful-crazy-awesome meditative chord progressions. But fingers crossed it doesn’t put the audience to sleep.

My father and I will walk in to Marion Anderson singing Schubert’s Ave Maria.
