My Fiance has nothing to do with the planning as well. He is excited, but wedding planning really isnt his thing. I am doing 2 surprises for him at the wedding. First he loves cigars, along with many of his friends, so I am going to have a professional roller there to hand roll cigars for him and guests. The second is, we are both proud of our Irish heritage, especially him, and he loves irish dancing, so I am hiring irish dancers to preform for aboout 30 min during the reception! I hope he will love it!

I feel like a bad bride.. I don’t really have any surprises for him.. the only thing he doesn’t know about is my Cleveland Browns garter.

Surprise Yankees garter (both of our favorite teams)

Boudoir book as his gift

“Grooms Survival Kit” – ring pop in case he forgets the essentials, socks for cold feet, small bottle of alcohol to calm nerves, etc.

I’m not entirely sure if I want to do a groom’s cake or not. . . I feel like it may be a waste. I might do a surprise cake for him for the rehearsal dinner. . .

@X0JLYNN03:  Same, haha. We’re doing surprise gifts before the wedding, and…that’s about it.

@madteaparty:  I’m making my groom a suprise pie to come home to.  I figure between the wedding cake and cake pops, he’s going to want something different.

My DH’s mom passed away while he was in high school.  the only thing he wanted for the wedding was some flower and a picture for her.  he kept asking what we were doing and if we were doing that and i said no, that’s not what is going to happen, but he needed to know that i was taking care of it.  So, on his boutineere (sp?), his brother’s boutineere, sister’s bouquet and his grandma’s boutineere, we had the florist put the charms we made with their mother’s picture on them.  They all started crying when they saw it. my photographer got a picture when he saw his for the first time and it brought tears to my eyes. then at the reception we bought a dozen roses and had a picture of the three kids with their mom right before she passed away at a place setting for her with a poem.  they all loved it!

@X0JLYNN03:  Don’t feel bad, I am not planning any surprises either. Heck, we’re not even giving each other gifts on our wedding day. Since I am paying for the wedding and he is paying for the honeymoon, we figure those are the gifts – to ourselves!

I didn’t suprise him (I planned the whole wedding and I figured that was enough) but he surprised me!  When we got back to the hotel room after the wedding he presented me with a little box and an envelope.  We had decided not to write our own vows for the ceremony but he decided to write his own vows privately for me. He typed them and handwrote them in case I couldn’t read his handwriting!!  He also got me really pretty tourquois earrings. I was a happy girl.

My Fiance is helping me with a lot of planning however I do have couple of surprises. First is a watch that he really likes that he will be given at the time he is getting ready with a card. Then I also ordered a custome garter with his fav hockey team.

I really like the cigar idea….. maybe i should do that.
