Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.

Definitely not Ohio, though I wish I lived in New England sometimes! 🙂

New England is six states.  Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.  This is not a matter of opinion; it is a fact.

The information about the flag is correct, though.  Ohio was not an original colony; neither was Maine.  The original thirteen are: New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

@MlleBrielle:  +1 sometimes.. I may consider it that too.. but coming from my mother (who grew up in Massachusetts) she says NY is not New England.. but she can see how people from elsewhere can say it is. I think the big mix up is that it’s part of the NorthEast… which is also abbreviated NE

Aye. They’re states, not colonies. Ct, Maine, Vermont, mass, new Hampshire and rhode island.

You are correct in the ones you thought it was. I giggled when I read: CT, DE, GA, MD, MA, New Husband, NJ, NY, NC, SC, PA, RI & VA.

Haha. Pennsylvanians do NOT consider themselves New Englanders!

Either Mid Atlantic and/or Rust Belt
