    I wouldn’t describe mermaid as “fishtail”…

    The dress I actually got was a lot different then what I was going for originally. I was looking for something figure hugging and “sexy”. The dress I finally picked was A-line.

    @ibiza1987:  Wow, really?  I have a mermaid gown and I’d be really offended if people said I looked like a fish, LOL!  I guess it’s a good thing I don’t live in Britain.

    @Cady:  I did the opposite!  I wanted a ballgown and ended up picking a mermaid.  😛

    I voted for figure hugging although it’s technically a sheath

    @ibiza1987:

    White, Sweetheart neckline, satin ball gown. No beads or anything. I added a sash and tiara to my updo. And a family member (who designs fashion jewelry) designed my necklace, earrings, and bracelet.It was all vintage style with the tiara and jewelry. I felt like a princess! Smile

    I’m deciding between a lace a-line or a shorter/tea length 50s halter… aah!

    My dress is technically called a fit and flare but it’s definitely one of the least extreme fit and flares I’ve ever seen. I voted A-line for that reason, because I think that’s the closest of your poll options to what I have.
