Styles with ruching and dresses with a little stretch to them are really good for slimming and smoothing! A line is probably the most flattering IMO, but depending on your body type, other styles may look great on you too.

In my opinion, don’t try the tight ones but it shouldn’t be too loose too.

How about the corset styles and try a little deep colors.

My wedding dress is Maggie Sottero Ambrosia.  A lot of her gowns have ruching in the waist and flattered and thinned out my figure so well.  I was not a fan of corsets at all at first but I realized how important corsets are to the design of the dress and ‘pulling’ it all together.  I think you should just go out and try as many on and I’m sure you will find many that you feel beautiful in and that flatter your figure.

My wedding is in November and although it won’t be dead of winter yet I am having a jacket made out of the same satin on my dress to match and I am probably going to end up getting a fur shawl/coat to wear for travel and pictures.
