Our last minute (like within the last month before the wedding) expenses were transportation, our hotel room was more expensive than I thought, breakfast for our guests the morning after, and than little things like gas money from driving to the vendors and venue extra times, tips for our vendors, gifts for a few helpers we weren’t originally planning on, and then my husband had to take off work a couple days before the wedding that we weren’t expecting so we lost that income (he doesn’t get paid time off).  So total I’d guess around 1000-2000.

oh gosh so many things. tips for sure! Our rehearsal dinner was more than I thought. Special outfits for rehearsal/ bachelorette, getting a mani/pedi, buying some last minute honeymoon stuff, snacks for bridesmaid/groomsmen rooms, lots of little stuff. But it was all totally worth it!!

There’s always something! I’m 20 days out right now and things keep popping up.  Ring bearer pillow/basket for flower girl, gifts for parents/ring bearer/flower girl, pianist, dress alterations, bathroom baskets, decor for the reception, honeymoon-related expenses that we hadn’t factored in (clothes, passports, luggage, etc), dresses for shower/rehearsal dinner/bachelorette party, boarding for our dogs for the weekend of the wedding, stands for the cupcakes, cute outfit for getting ready the day of, limo for the day of, and more.  These are some of the things that have come up in the past couple weeks that we hadn’t really factored in before.  None of them are huge expenses on their own but they have added up to an additional $2000.  I feel like having a wedding is seriously distorting my concept of money… couple grand here, a couple grand there… it’s ridiculous!

Gifts and tips!  We had to run out and buy a few extra gifts for folks that we’d forgotten, and for a few that helped out last minute.   Also, I ended up buying my bridesmaids lunch and paying for mani/pedis the day before the wedding!
