maybe i’m slow…. but i do not know what this ering is you ladies talk about.. is it a website that sells rings? please clue me in! also on another note, i finally understand all you ladies who already have your venues and other details picked out before getting engaged. i have found the perfect venue. an D likes it to i showed him the pictures on their website! it is a quaint inn on a cliff in Palos Verdes (i’m sure most of you don’t know where that is but it’s ok) and it has a beautiful gazebo for the ceremony that over looks the ocean and the coast line. ahh… i am in love with it! we are not engeged yet. he will be proposing in 6 months so he says… the problem is, i wish i could tell my mother but i can’t because she would think i’m crazy for picking a venue before i’m engaged! i’m sure a lot of you know what that’s like… if you feel me, let me know! thanx for reading!

It cracks me up every time we get a post like this!! LOL!
But that should tell you, IW, you’re not alone in being confused. I’d say a post like this pops up every couple of months or so!

When I first saw “e-ring” I thought they meant electronic ring. As in, your SO picks out a ring online, proposes to you with the picture and if you like it, you buy it. ๐ ๐ ๐ Yes, silly. That whole explanation from one mysterious word. Took me a while to figure it out without asking questions. Sigh…

@claireos: LMAO, electronic ring for the win. I pretty much had that!
Fiance and I got engaged without a ring because he knew I’m picky about my jewelry and he wanted me to design my dream ring. So I sketched out my ideal ring and he had it custom-made for me while I was away for a year at grad school. Every so often when he was at the jeweller’s seeing how it was coming, he’d have the jeweller email me screenshots of the design in the computer software to make sure it looked how I envisioned. They even sent me a photo of three possible stone candidates so I could pick the exact shade of green I wanted, lol.
Naturally I didn’t get to see the finished product until I came home, though ๐
