As far as I know, they don’t make asscher cut in moissy so I would guess it’s a cz. It’s very pretty!

Charles and colvard make asscher moissanite now, as well as a few of the newer moissy brands. However I can’t imagine it being one of these brands if he didn’t state it was. The only other type of moissanite I can think of it could be would be the moissanite that’s unbranded from India. However these stones are not white at all, they look like what charles and colvard moissanite looked like 10 years ago. So I’m going to have to say it’s likely cz. Also the way the this stone is windowing in the picture look like cz.

From my experience (which is very limited), whenever they have said ‘lab created diamond’, it means CZ.

I don’t know. A few years back they did some testing to try to cut them (asschers and emeralds) and they were extremely brown. They’ve since started cutting emeralds though and they look beautiful so perhaps they’ve overcome whatever difficulty they had with the process. I’ve still not seen any asschers but I haven’t kept up on what’s new with moissanite since they lost the patent so anything is possible.

I bought a ring from this seller (I recognise the picture!) and he was really evasive when I asked him a few questions which was a shame as I would’ve bought more from him but his evasiveness made me decide not to.

leilarobs2 :  Moissanite comes in forever one asscher cut along with several new cuts. There are other brands of moissanite that come in asscher cut as well.

briellar :  I just popped over and checked them out. They’re quite nice – windmills and all! I see they’re still cutting emeralds without the windmills though and I wonder why they can have them in one and not the other. I really like my emerald moissy but the lack of windmills makes me not wear it much.

allie127 :  I’m fairly certain that shop sells CZ. There a a few Etsy shops that use terms like “lab diamond” and are just selling CZ, they seem to go to great lengths to keep buyers in the dark about what they’re actually buying.

Your ring is very pretty though!
