@MistySoda:  It does kind of look like a larvae or something…weird!

ETA: just a google search…not sure if this is it (kind of doesn’t look like a wolf-worm larvae), but it may be something similar…if there’s more worm in the cat, he might get an infection?

Another interesting article…could possibly be some sort of larvae.

I don’t really know what else to tell you…the fact you describe a “hole” being left maybe me think it was some kind of insect burrowed in there. Gross, I know haha. Hopefully your kitteh will be fine though 🙂

Kinda looks like a Sebum plug, like the waxy stuff that is in your pores?

Maybe an ingrown hair.

@MistySoda:  For scale, about how big is this “thing?” Im intrigued.

ETA Could it have been in his belly button?!!!! Because that would just be gunk up in there like how humans get lint.

@MistySoda:  If you’ve ever pulled a sebum plug out of your face, they’re quite hard and sometimes on the rubbery side. It doesn’t have to be soft and squishy.

Doesn’t look like any blackhead/sebum plug I’ve ever seen on an animal, and doesn’t look like a cuterebra larva either.  Did it move at all?  I have no clue what the hell it is.  Maybe take it to your vet and have them send it off for histopathology?  And they can check out your cat to make sure nothing else is going on.

@sheepandbear:  omg I literally read this (as I’m eating chips) and almost started gagging. And I myself am just graduating with my B.S. in animal science/pre-vet concentration…so I’ve seen some gross $h*t. But that…didn’t settle well with me, lol
